The Bombing at Nagasaki
August 9th, 1945, Nagasaki was hit with an atomic bomb. It was bombed just three days after the devastation in Hiroshima. Bock's Car was the crew who was in charge of this particular bombing. The first target for bombing was originally Kokura, but there was a haze that prevented the Bock's Car crew from seeing their target. So Bock's Car continued on to its second target. At 11:02 a.m., the atomic bomb, which was called "Fat Man," was dropped over Nagasaki. The atomic bomb exploded 1,650 feet above the city.
